Additional Information : This design was drawn by William Moorcroft in 1937 and developed by Walter Moorcroft from about 1947 who had been instructed by his father in the art of mastering Flambe firings in a reduction kiln. Moorcroft pottery subjected to this effect always carries a premium when compared with standard colour-way. I know this to be true as Walter explained this to me himself prior to his passing in 2002.
