Additional Information : As this is reproduced on laid paper. it is likely to have been taken from the volume The New and Complete English Traveller: or. a New Historical Survey and Modern description of England and Wales which was published by Hogg under the pseudonym William Hugh Dalton. This was a revised and updated version of a 1784 original – containing Conder’s engravings – which was entitled New British Traveller: or a Complete Modern Universal Display of Great Britain and Ireland and which was published under another Hogg pseudonym. George Augustus Walpoole.
