Additional Information : We are more accustomed to beer being served in half pints or pints however a quart may still be legally served in licensed premises within the UK. When full this glass holds one American quart or a pint and a half with room for the head on the beer. In the 18th century beer was sold in pint and a half measures until the weights and measures act in 1824.
