Additional Information : The barrel shape favoured by the great Yarmouth engraver William Absolon. although generally he preferred tumblers. The sand pontil (or sticky ball pontil) is created by slightly cooling the glob of glass on the tip of an iron pontil rod and dipping it into either sand or glass chips.
