SOLD – Georgian Engraved Tumbler c1790

Description

This tumbler has an interesting variation. it is an early example of a sand pontil scar.

The bowl has been engraved with a dentil border around the rim and the body of the bowl has engraved tulips.

It stands 4 1/2 inches tall with a 3 1/2 inch bowl and a 2 3/4 inch foot. The glass contains the expected period features. air bubbles and small slag seeds. The foot has good wear. No chips or cracks or restoration.
