A Georgian Glass Tumbler which dates to c1780
An excellent Georgian Glass Tumbler which dates to end of the 18th cen. It has convex sides and feature associated with Irish tumblers. The metal has a blue-grey hue and contains numerous inclusions. the bowl is heavily striated and as pucella marks (stop start) to the rim. There is excellent wear on the foot which has a snapped pontil. It was purchased as part of a collection in Wicklow Ireland.
There are two small faint scratches (tooth marks) just below the rim of the bowl. other than that it is in excellent condition. It stands 4 7/8th inches with a 3 7/8th bowl and 2 7/8th conical foot. Lead glass
