Description
A set of four Georgian regency fluted ale glasses c1820. with trumpet bowls with annulated cushions on the shoulders and angular knops on the stems. Plain feet with polished pontils. Being strong advocates for using antique glass for their intended purpose these may be used for strong ales. as intended. barley wine would be the current period equivalent or even for champagne ! Using antique glass is an optimal form of recycling and at a fraction of the price of modern equivalents. It is also possible to make this up to a set of six. but one of the glasses will require some polishingb to the foot to bring it up to the same standard of the others. please ask for details.
English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. they measure 5 7/8 inches tall with 2 3/8 inch bowls and 2 ½ inch feet.
