We believe this to be an early 19th century example rather than an earlier 18th century example. Folded feet were deployed into the mid 18th century and revived in the early 19th. The foot is not as highly conical as one would anticipate with earlier examples. If we are incorrect then we are 50 to 60 years too late in our dating. better than the alternative.
