Similar glasses may be seen in English Glass- Sydney Compton plate 24. Compton is adamant that the “heavy gadrooning” is indicative of an earlier date possibly late 17th century. In English Glass by RJ Charleston he too plumps for an earlier date based on the heavy moulding. There is considerable variance with many other authors.
