Description
A Georgian plain stem ale glass with engraved flowering hops and barley in saltire which dates to 1760.
It stands 6 inches tall with a 2 3/8 inch foot and a 2 1/4 inch bowl. English lead. Conical foot snapped pontil and no chips or cracks.
The foot has been reduced at some point in the past to remove a chip. this is evident from the edge of the foot being squared off. The metal is a good dark colour and the bowl exhibits good tool marks. it still displays very well.
