SOLD – Regency Wrythen Ale Glass c1830

Description

An excellent Georgian Regency wrythen ale glass c1820 with a long round funnel bowl with very prominent deep wrythen moulding to two thirds of the bowl.  It has a capstan stem above a conical foot with snapped pontil. This is a very unusual specimen and is far more substantial than earlier wrythen ales.

English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 6 ¾ inches tall with a 2 3/8 inch bowl and 2 7/8 inch foot.
