Description
An 18th century ale glass with an opaque twist stem. The funnel bowl has been engraved with a hop flower and two leaves and a single ear of barley. most ale glasses have two ears of barley in saltire. The stem features a pair of spiral tapes outside a multi-ply corkscrew.
It stands 7 5/16ths tall with a 2 3/8th inch bowl and 3 inch conical foot with snapped pontil. English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. Excellent colour metal and exemplary tooling marks.
