SOLD – Georgian Opaque Twist Ale Glass c1760

Description

A Georgian double series opaque twist ale glass. This has all the period tell tales that one would expect. Small seeds and stones in the metal. fold lines ( or pucella marks if you prefer). small bubbles and striations. fire polished rim. snapped pontil. The stem has two pairs of spiral threads with a 15 ply spiral band around it. It stands 7 inches tall with a 2 1/4 inch bowl and a 2 3/4 inch foot. The foot does contain an air bubble that has been trapped from the day it was made in c1770. No chips. cracks or restoration
