Description
A Georgian Firing Glass c 1740.
For me. this is one of the finest firing glasses we have had with superb proportion and balance and also in top class condition.
It has a thick bell bowl with a solid section at the base above a short plain stem and thick firing foot with snapped pontil.
English lead. nice dark metal with no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 4 ¾ inches tall with a 2 7/16th inch bowl and 2 ¾ inch foot.
An exceptional example and the first of its specific form we have had in over 8 years.
