Description
A superb Georgian double bowl or “double ended” dram glass with a standard round funnel bowl on one end and a deceptive round funnel bowl on the other with a cushion knop in between.
English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 4 5/8 inches tall with a 2 1/8 inch standard bowl and 1 7/8 inch deceptive bowl.A very good example. The “black marks” in the pictures are just shadows from the thick glass on the deceptive end and a Towse collectors label on the other. It is clear and clean in reality
Provenance :-
The glass is from the famous John Towse collection who passed away in autumn of 2005. His collection was sold in two parts. by Christie’s in 1982 and a further sale containing some fantastic cordials by Delosmosne & Sons in 1997.
