This fails the 18th century spoon test. We have tried ro reach the bottom of the glass with silver teaspoons made in 1741. 1783 and 1811 all with narrow bowls. The largest spoon with which we were able to reach the bottom of the bowl was a mustard spoon with an 11mm diameter bowl. This would be impractical to use as the capacity of the glass is more than seventy times that of the spoon. The proof is in the pudding.
