The gilding is reminiscent of gilding on a Giles atelier example we sold some four years ago. We have often seen scattered stars on Newcastle light balusters too. This is a neo-classical style also found on all manner of decor. plasterwork. garments and porcelain . stars were clearly in vogue. Small really can be beautiful.
