18th Century Verre Pivette c1725

Heading : An early 18th century French or Belgian dram or gin glass
Period : Louis XIV / Louis XV - c1700-1750
Origin : France or Belgium 
Colour : Smokey with pale amber hue
Bowl : Ogee with moulded diamonds and fluting 
Stem : Incised twist
Foot : Folded conical 
Pontil : Snapped 
Glass Type : Soda 
Size :  10.2cm height, 4.5cm diameter bowl, 5.5cm diameter foot 
Condition : Excellent, no chips or cracks. The foot is slightly warped from manufacture.
Restoration : None 
Weight: 41 grams

A remarkably small bowl even for an early 18th century wine glass, this must have been made for cordials or spirits.
