Description
A fantastic pair of early 19th century port wine glasses in wonderful condition. The pointed funnel bowls have annulated collars and blade knop stems. Conical feet and snapped pontils. There are some very minor light scratches but no other faults. no chips. no cracks and no restoration.
The lead glass exhibits pucella marks and the metal contains small inclusions that collectors demand. This pair of glasses need to be used with a good vintage port or marsala as was fashionable during the Regency
They stand 4 1/4 inches tall with 2 7/16thth inch bowls and 2 5/16th feet.
