This is a most unusual form. The connection between silver monteiths ( punch bowls) and monteith glasses is still a mystery. We have a silver monteith with sinusoidal rim and we tried to suspend these from the rim without success. In the silver world punch cups would be suspended from the rim of a monteith with silver hooks attached to the handle of he punch cup
