To commemorate the Acts of Union of 1800 ( came into force in 1801) that lead to the political union of Great Britain with the Kingdom of Ireland.
Without doubt the finest example that we have seen. This was almost certainly not engraved by an Irishman. the shamrocks are to scale but an insignificant element within the context.
