The Odd Fellows is an international fraternity which originally operated in a similar way to the Free Masons but have since become far less secretive. The engraving on this rummer consists of a border in which is a crest. The crest includes two men flanking a cartouche with Odd Fellows symbols (hour glass, skull and crossbones, heart in hand, lion, and bull) along with AMICITA AMOR ET VERITAS, the Odd Fellows motto meaning Frienship, Love, and Truth.
