Georgian Bristol Blue Rummer Glass c1830 – SOLD

Description

A magnificent Georgian Bristol cobalt blue glass rummer which date to c1830 and posibly earlier.

It has a round funnel bowl with distinctive petal moulding around the lower section. A baluster knop stem on a large conical foot which has a polished pontil.

English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. it measures 6 inches tall with a 3 ¼ inch bowl and 3 1/8 inch foot.

We have had only one green example of this form during the last 10 years. this is the first blue example. A superb period piece.
