Description
A profusely engraved Georgian Rummer which dates to 1800.
This glass is deceptively heavy and the metal has an excellent blue-grey tinge. The bowl is superbly decorated swags of flowers with polished detailing and fruiting vines. The central cartouche has the name MAY engraved in elaborate copperscript. It has a capstan stem and ground polished pontil .
It stands 5 1/4 inches high with a 3 3/8ths bowl and a 3 1/8th inch foot.
No chips cracks or restoration.
Normally we would not mention weight but for the record it is 1lb 4 oz or 500gms if you prefer.
