SOLD – Pair Georgian Regency Pan Top Rummers c1810

Description

A superb pair of Georgian Regency Pan Top Rummers that date to between 1800 and 1810.

They have pan top deceptive bowls with thick capstan stems on thick conical feet and snapped pontils. Excellent dark metal examples indicative of high lead and a good smokey colour. Some larger inclusions in one or two bowls and good tooling marks and striations. One of the finest pairs of period rummers we have seen for many years.

English lead. no chips cracks or restoration. they measure 5 7/8 inches tall with 4 3/8 inch bowls and 3 1/8 inch feet. There are some very minor variations in size as would be expected with handmade glass.
