Bowl : Incurved bucket - engraved with Brittania holding an olive branch over a ship along with "JIB" monogram. A band of olive branches to the rim. 
Stem : Annular collar over ball knop. 
Foot : Conical 
Pontil : Snapped 
Glass Type : Lead
Size :  12.5cm height, 8.2cm diameter bowl, 7.5cm diameter foot. 
Condition : Excellent, no chips  or cracks
Restoration : None 
Weight: 252 grams 

The name Britain was used before the Roman invasion, its first mention comes from Pytheas, a Greek explorer and geographer, in the fourth century B.C. During the reign of Elizabeth I the figure of Britannia became the personification of the country and a symbol of national pride and endeavour.
