Features : The hollow body is formed using twisted filigree canes of different colour-ways. The vertical pattern is ‘split’ by horizontal canes giving the piece its name.

Additional Information : This is an original concept piece and one of the first ‘penguins’ that Hunter ever produced. it was only after the glass was blown and finished that the penguin concept emerged

A later example was created for the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum exhibition “Big Ideas/Small Packages: Magnificent Glass Under 20” Hunter began his career working at Wedgewood Glass, Perthshire Paperweights and Welsh Royal Crystal. We used to buy directly from Hunter however when we placed our final order with him and paid his 2018 invoice for a zanfirico apple and pear they were collected by a former employee who has subsequently sold them. Hunter refused to repay us.
