Decoration : Simple geometric stickware border set within banded key-line stringing; plain yew veneers to top and sides; darker (probably rosewood) edge-banding; working lock and key
Size : sides15.6 x 9.0 x 5.4 cm
Condition : very good; a few bumps and bruises entirely commensurate with age; stickware tiles are all in place; fine grain cracks to the veneer in places; corners a little rubbed
Restoration : inside and bottom have been relined with paper
Weight : 233 grams
Notes : an unlabelled piece. though the nature of the geometric bands is very reminiscent of other examples which we have been able to positively identify as having been produced by Edmund Nye
