Decoration : Inlaid geometric design to teh centre within keylines. similar geometric pattern border also within keylines
Size : 17.5×11.8×4.5cm
Condition : Good. a little scratching and wear but no losses to tesserae – there was formerly an attached swing handle. this has broken off leaving only the attachment points.
Restoration : Relined with marble paper
Weight : 210 grams
This is almost certainly the work of Edmund Nye. probably in the period shortly after he left Fenner in 1840. although it is possibly from the period when he was designing for Fenner. He was the only known maker of pin-hinged boxes in this period.
