Decoration : Central stylised floral tesellated mosaic. this is bordered by a stickware geometric band within keylines. The lid itself is bordered by a wider geometric stickwear band within keylines. Side panels similarly decorated with geometirc stickwear banding. The interior has the origianl silkwork lining to the cover and

Condition : Excellent. no losses and minimal wear. The interior a little worn but still presents well. particularly the silkwork. Key absent

A stunning example of a transitional period for Tunbridge ware as the tessellated mosaic rose to it’s late Victorian ascendancy but the traditional stickwear geometry was still popular. This is a very fine example
