Decoration : Central rose mosaic. Border with OXO chainlink mosaic typical of Barton’s work. Side panels with oak leaf banding within keylines. Thomas Barton label to leather lined base. Interior velvet lined with new lift out tray revealing two compartments to base.
Size :  23.2×16.6cm. 11.5cm height
Condition : Excellent. no missing tesserae and minimal wear. Working lock and key
Restoration : New tray and professional polish*
Weight :  1088 grams

* All the old shellac and wood polish was stripped off and this has been repolished with beeswax. The colours are superb. A new tray was made and colour matched and lined with the silk from the original. A superb piece of restoration.
