Decoration : Cushion topped with an image of Hever Castle within Golden Sycamore and Banded and Continuous Keylines with a Floral Berlin Woolwork Border. To the four concave sides. a band of Floral Berlin Woolwork within Banded and Continuous Keylines; Walnut. with blue velvet lining and a blue painted band to the interior. Flush stickwork surround to the keyhole.
Size :  20.7 cm wide. 13.7cm deep x 8.3 cm high
Condition : Excellent; slight cracks to lacquer on top face; very minimal loss of non-contiguous tesserae; filled expansion gap to one corner; working key; it would appear that a fitted tray would once have sat on internal ledge-cut sides. but this is now missing
Restoration : None. The box has been professionally cleaned and polished.
