Nineteenth century visitors to the spa town of Tunbridge Wells were spoilt for choice with a myriad of  inlaid objects fashioned from Tunbridge Ware.  Many were just keepsakes but some. such as this clothes brush. were designed for everyday use.  Fashioned from fruitwood with a ‘tumbling dice’ decorated back. this real bristle brush would have been an essential item in any Victorian household.
