A useful sized trinket box of classic design made in the mid 19th century by Edmund Nye. Alongside designer Thomas Barton. Nye was one of the main manufacturers of Tunbridge Ware during this period and the pair shared a workshop in Mount Ephraim. Royal Tunbridge Wells. The premises now carries a heritage plaque commemorating the factory.
The base of the box carries a partial label from Edmund Nye.
