Decoration : The central mosaic on the cushion top depicts Tonbridge Castle within a keyline border amd a further banded Berlin woolwork floral border within keylines. The foliate design on the in-curved side panels is also set within keylines

Condition : There are a few areas of lifting in the mosaic. including one notable one which runs accross the centre of the castle. There is a missing tesserawe in the castle. Lacks key.

The games box includes a cribbage board (with eight pegs). two wooden Pall Mall whist markers. a deck of cards. and 28 turned wood chequers pieces. The cribbage board has a small chip to the turned wood handle. it is decorated with a geometric mosaic to the centre. This particular rendition is generally attributed to Henry Hollamby.
