Decoration : Both ‘vertical’ end panels of this example feature the archetypal ‘isometric cube’ pattern; these versions no only feature a little of the renowned ‘green oak’ but are also the better-made versions. whereby the grain of the wood is used to enhance the ‘direction’ of each surface of the cubes which they make up. emphasising the three-dimensional nature of the images; the curved edges both feature geometric mosaic patterns

Restoration : Professionally cleaned and polished; almost entirely complete with regard to the tesserae with just one missing tile to one of the mosaic edges
