Decoration : Ink well lid with geometric stickware pattern; circular base has a floral mosaic within an octagonal. broad-banded strung keyline border; two turned pen holders; whole sits on three small bun feet.
Size : 10.3 cm diameter x 6.9 cm high
Condition : good; a few minimal bumps and scrapes; top rim of the glass inkwell is chipped; looks like one piece of edge veneer may have been re-applied
Restoration : none other than possible repair as above
Weight : 116 grams
Note : Although Messrs Barton and Nye made similar pieces in the last third of the 19th century. the less pixelated nature of the floral mosaic marks this down as a product from the Tunbridge Wells Manufacturing Co ltd (probably their item no. 114 or 117)
