Decoration : Unusual vertical banding to both the cover and side panels with anchor-like motif as well as geometric and foliate designs. Cover bordered with a geometric band.
Size : 12.7cm width. 9.8cm height. 7cm depth
Condition : Excellent. no missing tesserae and minimal wear – the base rather scratched

Weight : 213 grams
This type of verical banding is exceptionally rare and this is the first example of it’s kind that we have seen. The hinges were made by Paul Moore and Co who were in operation from the 1820s until 1862.
