Decoration : There is a central floral mosaic with a keyline border. to the edge of the lid is foliate Berlin woolwork. and a floral Berlin woolwork pattern to the side panels – also within keylines. There is a working key and lock.
Size : 22.5×27.5×10.2cm
Condition : Good. there a few areas of lifting and some bubbles in the varnish
Restoration : The base has been refelted and the interior paper lining has been replaced. Professionally polished
Weight : 889 grams
This is most likely the work of Edmund Nye as identical woolwork patterns are seen on known Nye works. Unfortunately as popular styles were copied it is impossible to give a definitive attribution without a label in this case.
