Additional Information : Charles and Ernest Schneider left Daum in 1913 to found their own glassworks with friend Henri Wolff. The timing could not have been worse. In July 1914 The Great war began and both brothers joined the Army. They returned to Paris in late 1917 to reopen their glassworks but did not return to art glass production until October or November of 1918. In order to do so they had to raise capital and shares were purchased by willing investors. This is unmarked, the patriotic red white and blue candy cane or Berlingot mark was used from 1918 to 1921. The fact that this is unmarked indicates that this a pre-war piece or was made shortly after they returned to Paris. Berlingot marks are uncommon, this is beyond that.
