Description: A penannular bracelet with a flat-section shank, bulb finials, decorated with panels of ribs and punched pellets
Size and Weight: 6.4cm, 15.4g
Features and Provenance: Jewellery such as this was a favourite of thee Celts, Romans and Vikings. The metals and types were wide ranging, from gold and silver, worn by leaders, to simple single rings of bronze or iron for the lower ranking person or warrior. Nonetheless, all required advanced metalworking skills and the size of our example would indicate it would have been worn by a woman. This is in perfectly wearable condition
