ART DECO MAKING A SPLASH AT THE CORN EXCHANGE – NEW PARTNERS AND NEW EVENTS !

To celebrate the fact that we are being joined at The Corn Exchange by two of the finest stockists imaginable of Art Deco artefacts, I will shortly be hosting two more talks down here in Tunbridge Wells.
We are welcoming David Hickmet and Jeroen Markies in to our happy throng, both of whom have enviable reputations and are properly regarded as masters of their respective arts – catering for all your decorative, early to mid 20th century needs !
From the exceptional bronze figurines which epitomised the elegance and vivacity of the age, to contemporary furniture, decorative glass and artworks these two gentlemen will provide the perfect accompaniment to our own existing range of Art Deco material.
I’ll be presenting two different talks – the first being a more general introduction to David, Jeroen and the nature of the pieces in which they specialise, and the second concentrating on bronze sculptures. We’ll be staging both on two occasions – a Friday evening ‘showing’, and then a matinee performance on the following day. Admission will include drinks and refreshments.
Of course, by the time these come around, David and Jeroen will have all their stock in situ at The Corn Exchange, and you will be able to get ‘up close and personal’ with many of the pieces about which I will be talking. We hope that the gentlemen in question will also be available to add their own inimitable brand of entertaining expertise.
There is a link below to the ticketing options, initially just for the first talk to be held on the 4th & 5th of March; purchases can be made by the same secure payment portal which already powers our own website. If you wish to extend your stay in Tunbridge Wells, we are able to once again offer discounted accommodation at a number of the town’s foremost hotels – please contact accounts@scottishantiques.com for details.

I look forward to seeing you here – the links below, as I say, are for the first talk, and there is one for each of the two different dates…
