The candy cane or “Berlingot” mark was only used by Schneider from 1918 to 1922. it was used for retailers who wanted to maintain the anonymity of their designers. Charles Schneider was the creative director of the Verrerie Schneider and upon the release of “Le Verre Francais” in 1918. which combined both Art Deco and Art Nouveau. became one of the leading lights of French art glass.
