A cameo vase designed by Émile Gallé. Gallé himself was a keen artist, his glass is considered to be one of the major forces in the french Art Nouveau movement. His "Writings on Art" which was released posthumously in 1908 gives a clear insight into his design ethos.. This example was designed while Galle was alive before his passing
in 1904.
