Additional Information : This vase was designed by Flavio Poli. recognised as one of the greatest designers of 20th century Murano glass. Poli made an immediate impact when entering the business as a nascent talent in 1945 with fresh and contemporary designs. His designs resulted in the Seguso Vetri d’Arte becoming one of the most important furnaces in the history of Murano. and ultimately the island’s leading munufacturer.
Seguso Vetri d’Arte was founded by Antonio Seguso in 1932. The original name ‘Vetretia Artistica Barovier & Company’ was changed in 1937. A family endeavour. glassmaking has been part of the Seguso family DNA for over six centuries. the family is so highly regarded that their crest can be seen on the ceilng of the Murano museum.
