Additional Information : Unmarked sommerso glass is notoriously difficult to identify; the best one can hope for is to happen upon common usage of colour combinations. shape and proportion. which in this instance would suggest the names of Franco Schiavon and Ars Cenedese as possible sources. However. we have located an identical signed example by Luciano Gaspari for Salviati. From 1955 to 1968 Gaspari was art director for Salviati. In 1960 he started collaborating with Livio Seguso the master of Sommerso and this is the result. The influence of Seguso and the rubino designs is most evident.
