Colour : Clear with checked amber pattern

Body : The body has been acid etched creating a crackle effect in the glass. This is known as ‘corroso’
Base : Polished
Glass Type : Lead.
Size : 30.4cm to top of stopper. 8cm diameter
Condition : Excellent. no chips or cracks. limited age related wear on the underside.
Restoration : None
Weight : 1202 grams
This has clearly been heavily influenced by Venini’s designs at the time and may even be a Venini piece itself. However. as is sadly so common in cases of Murano glass. we have not been able to make a definitive attribution. The corroso technique first found favour in Murano with Scarpa at Venini during the 1930s and in the 1970s with the Seguso Vetri d’Arte and Flavio Poli.
