Secondly the brass rim with opposing shields is seen on other vases marked Mont Joye. The firm that specialised in metalwork for Mont Joye Legras was Baudet of Paris
Thirdly Francois-Theodore Legras is known to have been a great admirer of Emile Galle from which this piece takes it’s inspiration.
The mark would have been gilded and on the base. There are also the remnants of a retailers paper label on the base.
Irrespective of the attribution this is truly stunning and the finish of of the highest quality
