1925 was a year of incredible success for René Lalique. The 1925 Paris Exhibition provided the perfect opportunity for Lalique to cement his reputation as one of the leading designers of the early 20th century. Lalique had his own pavilion in which he exhibited a dining room with a full range of tableware a number of candelabras. In addition to this he designed a monumental phallic fountain with jets all the way up the column creating the appearance of a gossamer thread when they were lit up at night. It was in this highlight year for Lalique that this beautiful perfume bottle was designed by Rene Lalique for Guelian's perfume "Bouquet de Faunes."
