Inspired by Persian and Roman rose water sprinklers. this is an iconic piece of “design” by one of the most highly regarded deigners of the late 19th century.

Clutha was a trade name for Dresser designs manufactured by James Couper and sons for Liberty. Pieces made prior to 1895 were marked Clutha with the Liberty lotus mark.

A Glasgow antique in every sense. The designer was a Glaswegian. the manufacturer a Glaswegian.
